Environmental Policy

Qualter Hall is an environmentally conscious Company and as such we acknowledge the potential environmetal impact that our operations may have on the environment.  Our activities include:

The design, supply, manufacture, assembly, installation, commissioning, repair and refurbishment of equipment for use in the mining, tunnelling, power generating, water, rail, transportation, nuclear, food processing, steel construction and allied industries, and their associated business administrations.

The directors, management and supervisory staff have responsibilities for the implementation of the policy and must ensure that environmental issues are given adequate consideration in the planning and day-to-day supervision of all work.  Qualter Hall top management will ensure that all its activities are carried out in conformance with the relevant environmental legislation and industry best practice, and implement and maintain an environmental management system that is in compliance with ISO 14001: 2015 to protect the environment.

Top management will ensure and are committed to continual improvement of the EMS to enhance environmental performance and the EMS effectiveness.  This is facilitated through ensuring sufficient resources are available and the setting of documented environmental objectives based on our significant environmental aspects, compliance obligations and considering our risks and business processes and ensuring we meet the intended outcomes.

This policy will be communicated to all employees and organisations working for or on our behalf.  Employees and other organisations are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation of this policy, whilst ensuring that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves, others or the environment.  This policy will be reviewed annually by top management, and where deemed necessary will be amended and re-issued.
