We have successfully completed the integrated FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) on two purpose-built mechanical handling machines for the nuclear decommissioning sector.
The high integrity machines have been manufactured at our facility in Barnsley, with the full performance testing having been completed by our mechanical, electrical and control systems engineering team.
Utilising the test pit in our Barnsley manufacturing facility for these activities ensured that the testing was completed with improved access and enhanced health and safety provisions for our team.
These tests are conducted prior to shipment onto the client’s site to ensure that every element of the mechanical and electrical build works as planned. This is done prior to shipment so that any repairs and amendments can be completed before they are installed into a nuclear facility environment where they must be operated and maintained remotely.
